WESTBOROUGH, Mass. — A three-day whiskey extravaganza will be held at Julio's Liquors in Westborough, beginning with a whiskey dinner on Friday, Feb. 22.
The dinner is hosted by John Glaser of Compass Box, and costs $60 per person.
"We believe that whiskey is something meant to be enjoyed and discussed, like fine wine," said Ryan Maloney, the owner of Julio's, in a news release.
The Saturday schedule will run as follows:
- 9 to 10 a.m.: Scottish breakfast ($10 per person)
- 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.: free whiskey seminars
- 7 to 9 p.m.: meet & greet ($20 per person)
The event will wrap up Sunday with the Grand Dram. The final event is free, and will feature 250 different kinds of whiskey for tasting a purchase.
"We’re excited to introduce this ideology in a fun and accessible way,” Maloney said.
Julio's Liquors, located at 140 Turnpike Road in Westborough, recently won the "Whiskey Retailer of the Year" award by Whiskey Magazine, and is in consideration for the magazine's "Icons of Whiskey" award, according to a news release.
