WESTBOROUGH, Mass. — Thanksgiving week in Westborough will bring with it annual football and dinner celebrations. Here is a list of some of the events taking place this week.

Monday, Nov. 19

School Committee Meeting: 6 p.m., The Westborough School Committee will hold a special Monday meeting. The special education, technology and transportation budgets will be discussed. 

ZBA Hearings: 7:30 p.m., Two cases will be brought in front of the Westborough Zoning Board of Appeals Monday night. Ansari Builders seeks to change a comprehensive permit granted for 169 E. Main St. and George Ghaly is seeking an amendment to a previous ZBA decision on his 116 E. Main St. property. 

Tuesday, Nov. 20

Planning Board Meeting: 6 p.m., The recent legalization of medical marijuana will be discussed at Tuesday's meeting. Board of Health and School Committee members have been invited to the discussion, along with members of the Westborough Police Department. The discussion will entail how dispensaries will be handled in terms of town rules if one were to open up in the immediate area. 

Wednesday, Nov. 21

Bingo: 6 p.m., The Westborough Knights of Columbus will host a Bingo night at 17 Willow St.

Interfaith Thanksgiving Eve Service: 7:30 p.m., Pastor Derek Duncan will give a sermon entitled “A Thankful Heart Changes Everything.” Donations are requested for the fellowship time dessert following the service. Donations to the Westborough Food Pantry will be set up.

Thursday, Nov. 22

Football: 10 a.m., Westborough (1-8) and Algonquin (2-7) will square off in their annual Thanksgiving tilt at Joseph R. Mewhiney field in Westborough. Tickets are $5 in advance (WHS main office) or $10 at the gate.

42nd Annual Thanksgiving Dinner: 1 p.m., This free community gathering at the Westborough Knights of Columbus is open to all members of the community. Call 508-366-3000 to make your reservation and schedule free transportation if needed.
