WESTBOROUGH, Mass. — A busy week is in store for Westborough following Martin Luther King Day, including a chance to have coffee with state legislators.
Monday, Jan. 21
Martin Luther King Day: Town offices, public schools and the Westborough Public Library are all closed.
Hockey: 1:30 p.m. Westborough High will host Ashland at North Star Youth Forum.
Tuesday, Jan. 22
Bookbabies: 10:30 a.m. Story time for children ages 1 and 2 will be held in the children's room of the Westborough Public Library.
Preschool Storytime: 1:30 p.m. Story time for children of pre-school age will be in the children's room of the Westborough Public Library.
Coffee With Lawmakers: 5:30 p.m. A coffee hour with local legislators will be held at Westborough Town Hall in advance of the Board of Selectmen's meeting.
Board of Selectmen's Meeting: 6 p.m. A scheduled meeting will be held at Westborough Town Hall. (Agenda)
Friends of the Westborough Public Library Dessert Reception: 7 p.m. A dessert reception will be held and the library's plans for the new year will be presented.
Planning Board Meeting: 7 p.m. A scheduled meeting will be held in Room 21 of the Forbes Municipal Building.
Hockey: 7:30 p.m. Westborough High will go on the road to face Holliston at Franklin Ice Rink.
Wednesday, Jan. 23
Swimming: 3:30 p.m. Westborough High will go on the road to face Worcester at the Boys and Girls Club of Worcester.
School Committee Meeting: 6 p.m. A scheduled meeting will be held in Room 21 of the Forbes Municipal Building.
Library Trustees Meeting: 7 p.m. A scheduled meeting will be held at the Westborough Public Library.
Boys basketball: 7 p.m. Westborough High will host St. Bernard's.
Thursday, Jan. 24
Two Time: 10:30 a.m. Story time for children ages 2 and 3 in the children's room of the Westborough Public Library.
Gibbons Middle School Building Committee: 4:30 p.m. A scheduled meeting will be held in the third-floor conference room of the Forbes Municipal Building to discuss proposed renovations. (Agenda)
Boys basketball: 7 p.m. Westborough High will host Algonquin in a game rescheduled from earlier this month due to a lack of refs.
Gymnastics: 7 p.m. Westborough will travel to face Wachusett High at Over the Top Gym.
Friday, Jan. 25
Swimming: 6 p.m. Westborough High will compete in a quad meet against Bromfield, Algonquin and Wachusett at Atkinson Swimming Pool.
Comedy and Magic with Tommy James: 7 p.m. Magician Tommy James will perform at Westborough's First United Methodist Church. Tickets are $10. Proceeds will go to the church's planned humanitarian trip to Rwanda in February.
