WESTBOROUGH, Mass. — While many in Westborough are likely still digging themselves out from the weekend's blizzard, Valentine's Day plans are upon us.
Parents looking to have a night to themselves can choose between two babysitting events, one at the Children's Workshop (6 Bellows Road), the other by local Girl Scouts troops.

Monday, Feb. 11
Municipal Building Committee Meeting: 8:30 a.m. A scheduled meeting will be held in Room 24 of the Forbes Municipal Building (Agenda).
Gymnastics League Meet: 6 p.m. Westborough High will compete in the league meet at Algonquin High School.
Finance Committee Meeting: 7 p.m. A scheduled meeting will be held in the Selectmen's Meeting Room of the Westborough Town Hall (Agenda).
Tuesday, Feb. 12
Bookbabies: 10:30 a.m. Story time for children ages 1 and 2 will be held in the children's room of the Westborough Public Library.
"Hope Springs" At Westborough Public Library: 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Westborough's library will continue its free movie series when it plays "Hope Springs," a romantic comedy starring Tommy Lee Jones and Meryl Streep. Guests are invited to bring their own snacks.
Preschool Storytime: 1:30 p.m. Story time for children of pre-school age will be in the children's room of the Westborough Public Library.
Gibbons School Building Committee Meeting: 4:30 p.m. A scheduled meeting will be held in the third-floor conference room of the Forbes Municipal Building (Agenda).
Board of Selectmen Meeting: 6 p.m. The Westborough Board of Selectmen will hold a scheduled meeting at the Westborough Town Hall (Agenda).
Creating Positive Change Series: 6:30 p.m. The series continues with a discussion titled "From Silver Lining to Golden Overcoat: Exploring the Postive for Women in Transition," at the Boroughs JCC.
Boys basketball: 7 p.m. A loss to Groton-Dunstable High School on Thursday knocked them out of Mid-Wach B contention, but Westborough (10-7, 7-2) will host first-place Quabbin High School (10-5, 8-0) to improve its potential playoff seeding.
Girls Basketball: 7 p.m. Westborough (8-8, 5-2) will go on the road to face Mid-Wach B opponent Quabbin.
Wednesday, Feb. 13
Special Voter Registration: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voter registration for the March town election will be held in the Westborough Town Clerk's office all day. Only Westborough residents that will be at least 18 years old by March 5 can register to vote in the town election.
Ash Wednesday Service: Noon. St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Westborough (3 John St.) will hold an Ash Wednesday service.
School Committee Meeting: 6 p.m. A schedule meeting will be held in Room 23 of the Forbes Municipal Building (Agenda).
UNOs Trivia Night: 6 p.m. UNO Chicago Grill (225 Turnpike Road) will host a trivia night. Teams of up to six people can compete for several prizes.
Hockey: 7:30 p.m. Westborough High will go on the road to face Marlborough High School at Navin Ice Rink.
Thursday, Feb. 14
Valentine's Day
Two Time: 10:30 a.m. Story time for children ages 2 and 3 in the children's room of the Westborough Public Library.
Parents Night Out: 6 to 8 p.m. The Children's Workshop, 6 Bellows Road, is holding a night of kids entertainment to allow parents the opportunity for a "night out." For more information or to reserve a spot, call 508-366-2148.
Girl Scouts Babysitting Fund-raiser: 3:30 to 9:30 p.m. Girl Scouts troops 30635, 30555 and adult chaperones will host a babysitting fund-raiser on Valentine's Day. To reserve a space email juliebaldwin@verizon.net.
Boys basketball: 7 p.m. Westborough High will look to avenge a previous loss when it travels to face Algonquin.
Girls Basketball: 7 p.m. Westborough High will host rival Algonquin.
Friday, Feb. 15
Live Music: 7 to 11 p.m. The band Two-Timers will perform at Sachi in Bay State Commons.
Hockey: 7 p.m. Westborough High will host rival Algonquin at North Star Youth Forum.
