WESTBOROUGH, Mass. — The lights at Westborough High School are going out, but not before the final pre-Halloween weekend is started off with Friday night football.
Westborough (0-7) will host Wachusett (5-2) as the Rangers will play their biennial home night game under the lights.
The weekend is also highlighted by multiple Halloween- themed events, including Westborough Recreation's 35th annual Halloween Party, which will be held at Gibbons Middle School.

Friday, Oct. 26
Westborough Recreation Halloween Party: 5:30 p.m. The 35th annual Halloween party is hosted by the Westborough Recreation Department at Gibbons Middle School. The party is open to students in grades K-4. Games and refreshments will be provided.
Week of Lights Finale: 7 p.m. Wachusett (5-2) will visit Westborough (0-7) to play in the biennial Week of Lights football game at Joseph R. Mewhiney Field.
Saturday, Oct. 27
SureFire Dogs Open House: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Try an agility course with your dog, take part in a doggie costume contest or have a portrait taken of your dog the SureFire Dogs training facility (57 Brigham Road). Refreshments will be provided as agility and obedience demonstrations are performed.
North Star Youth Forum's annual Halloween Skate: 12:20 to 1:30 p.m. Guests should wear a costume and enjoy skating and a special exhibition. Admission is $5. Skate rental is $5 (cash).
Halloween Vault: 1 p.m. The Patriot Pole Vault Club will host a Halloween vault competition at Westborough High School. Entrants are encouraged to dress up.
Marching Band Jamboree: 3 p.m. The annual Westborough High School Marching Band Jamboree will feature four marching bands from Westborough, Chelmsford, Millbury and Westford high schools. Tickets can be purchased for $2; senior citizens and students can enter for free.
Sunday, Oct. 28
Mystery Tour of "Kirkside": 2 to 5 p.m. The Westborough Historical Society will hold its annual Mystery Tour, which will begin in front of “Kirkside,” 8 Church St. This event is free and open to the public. An Open House with refreshments will be served at the Society’s headquarters on 13 Parkman St. after the tour.
