WESTBOROUGH, Mass. -- With Sandy officially in the rear-view mirror Westborough has a busy pre-election weekend ahead, highlighted by high school playoffs.
Westborough boys soccer just sneaked into the playoffs with a win over Fitchburg last week and the Rangers will face off against divisional foe Marlborough.
Westborough volleyball also heads into the playoffs as one of the state's top seeds after a 14-4 season.

Friday Nov. 2
MIAA District Playoffs, Boys Soccer: 2:30 p.m., Westborough High (8-7-2) will take on South High School-Worcester (8-4-4) at Burncoat High School in the first round of the playoffs. Westborough is making a playoff appearance after a 2-16 season in 2011.
Bunco Tournament: 7:45 p.m., In Your Shoes will host a Bunco tournament at the Westborough Knights of Columbus Hall. Registration begins at 7:45 and information about joining In Your Shoes will be provided. A $10 donation is suggested.
Saturday, Nov. 3
Rummmage Sale: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., St. Stephen's Episcopal Church will host a rummage sale. St. Stephen’s will accept any quality, non-electronic items as donations to the sale. These items can be dropped off at the church from Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to noon.
CrossFit Grand Opening: noon to 5 p.m., Small Town CrossFit will be holding its Grand Opening. The event is welcome to everyone and free workouts for adults and kids, massages, raffles, food, games and more will be provided.
MIAA District Playoffs, volleyball: 5 p.m., Westborough (14-4) will host Milton in the first round of the playoffs. The Rangers are Mid-Wach B champions and the No. 8 ranked team in the state.
Sunday Nov. 4
Autumn Hike: 1:30 to 4 p.m., explore the John Malley trail from Veterans Freedom Park along Mill Pond. The event is hosted by the Westborough Land Trust.
MIAA District Playoffs, girls soccer: 5 p.m., After a 12-4-2 season and a Mid-Wach B title, Westborough will take on division foe Marlborough on the road (11-2-4) in the first round of the MIAA playoffs. The first two game with Marlborough have been a 0-0 tie and a 1-0 Rangers win.
