St. Stephen's Church Blesses Westborough's Pets

WESTBOROUGH, Mass. — Cats, dogs, birds, alpacas and horses all received a blessing this past weekend at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Westborough, according to a statement.

Parishioners and other members of the community made their way to the church at 3 John St. to participate in the annual Blessing of the Pets event. The blessing is held on a Sunday near the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi, a saint known for his love of animals. 

The Rev. Jesse Abell led the prayers at the event.
