WESTBOROUGH, Mass. — A demonstration that began in Texas has made its way to Westborough.
TransCanada, a company focused on natural gas transmission and power services, according to its website, is the company behind the Keystone XL Pipeline Project. Because its Westborough location at 110 Turnpike Road. is the only one in Massachusetts activists camped outside in trees on Monday to spread the message.
The day was unofficially billed as the national day to resist pipelines by the activists, but the demonstration was cut short after police arrived to escort the tree-sitters off the premises.
