WESTBOROUGH, Mass. — Halloween activities and trick-or-treating can go on as planned following Hurricane Sandy, Police Chief Alan Gordon said Tuesday.
"There is no issue with children's safety, so they should go out and have a good time," Gordon said.
The DPW, Westborough police and Board of Selectmen met Tuesday morning and agreed that nothing needed to be canceled.
Westborough's Halloween was canceled last year after the snow storm.
Outages were still being worked on and trees removed Tuesday afternoon. Gordon said he doesn't expect any issues.
"If we thought that downed wires or trees were an issue we would close the roads," he said.
