WESTBOROUGH, Mass. — Heating and cooling system renovations at Westborough Public Library have forced several closures and parts of the library to be temporarily unusable, but Mark's Moving has donated its services to ease storage issues.
Portions of the library's collections have recently been moved from the library for safety concerns, and Marks Moving, owned by Mark Silverman, has donated more than 100 packing boxes, a portable storage unit and is handling the transfer, according to a news release.
"Mr. Silverman and his staff deserve our appreciation for demonstrating a spirit of concern for the well-being of the library and the patrons that it serves," Library Director Maureen Ambrosino said in the release. "His donations have helped to make a difficult time easier for the Friends, and his staff took excellent care of our library materials during the packing and moving process.”
The construction, being done to improve the efficiency of the library's heating and cooling system, is expected to be completed in December.
