WESTBOROUGH, Mass. - History writer and journalist Stephanie Schorow has authored six books, and she will discuss her latest work at Westborough Public Library on Tuesday, Jan. 8 at 7:30 p.m.
Schorow's new book, "Drinking Boston: A History of The City and Its Spirits" details "the fascinating role alcohol has played throughout the city's history," according to a news release.
Schorow will be presenting a slideshow and discussing her book.
"She serves up a remarkable cocktail representative of Boston’s intoxicating story: its spirit of invention, its hardscrabble politics, its mythology, and the city’s never-ending battle between personal freedom and civic reform," according to the release.
Her other books include "Boston on Fire," "Cocoanut Grove Fire," "The Crime of the Century" and "The Boston Mob Guide." She has also worked for the Boston Globe and Associated Press.
