WESTBOROUGH, Mass. - Elaine M. McPherson of Westborough died Thursday, Feb. 21. She was 82.
McPherson was born in Westborough to Jonas L. and Geneva M. (Farquhar) Johnson. She was educated in Westborough schools and was a graduate of Westborough High School.
McPherson was a self-employed seamstress for many years. Later she worked as a sales clerk for many area jewelry stores.
McPherson was a member of the former First Baptist Church in Westborough and in recent years attended The Congregational Church of Westborough.
McPherson is survived by three children, Russell L. (Kathleen) McPherson of Northborough, Jo-Ann E. Broderick of Framingham and Mark C. (Liz) McPherson of Lunenburg; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Malcolm and son, Kenneth.
Funeral service will be held Monday, Feb. 25, at 11 a.m. in The Congregational Church of Westborough, West Main St., Westborough. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in McPherson's memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
