WESTBOROUGH, Mass. - Norma M. Smith, 84, formerly of Westborough, died on Monday, Sept. 24, 2012 at the North Bay Manor in Smithfield, RI. She was the wife of the late John H. “Jack” Smith.
Norma is survived by four sons, Kenneth W. Smith of Tuscon, AZ, Calvin M. Smith of Groton, NH, Alan J. Smith of Chepachet, RI and Kevin W. Smith of Methuen; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Born in Princeton, MA, she was the daughter of the late Reginald and Maude (Stearns) Mason and was a graduate of Northboro High School.
Norma worked as an accounting clerk at Carlson-Daniel Insurance Company, as a bank teller at Peoples Bank and then worked as a clerk for J. N. Phillips prior to her retirement.
She was a longtime member of The Congregational Church of Westborough.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 13, at 1 p.m. in the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough. Burial in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton, will be private. Calling hours at the funeral home are Friday, Oct. 12, from 6 to 8 p.m.
