WESTBOROUGH, Mass. — The Daily Voice accepts signed, original letters to the editor. Letters may be emailed to westborough@dailyvoice.com.

To The Editor:

I'm writing today to urge you to join me in supporting Tim Dodd for Westborough Selectman in the March 5 Town Election.  I have known Tim for 12 years, and I have continuously been impressed with his commitment to his hometown.  After graduating from college in Washington, DC, Tim returned to Westborough, and first successfully ran for the Board of Selectmen in 2007.  Since that time, he has invested countless hours working for the betterment of our community.  As a member of the planning board, I have worked with Tim on numerous issues related to open space protection, transportation and planning.  I served with Tim on the open space preservation committee, and was impressed with his ability to work with others for the common good of our community.  Tim is constantly looking into ideas from other communities, and has brought many new ideas forward in Westborough.

Tim has been a leader on many community development issues, and in 2009 organized a "walkability" audit of the downtown.  This work led to the creation of a bike and pedestrian committee advisory committee, which is working to improve transportation options and safety in Westborough.

Tim has a deep commitment to his hometown, and the skills and background to help move Westborough forward.  He has been involved in government at all levels, and has learned a great deal from serving on the board and participating in professional associations.

He is thoughtful, committed and a hard worker. I hope you will join me in voting for Tim Dodd for Selectman on March 5.

Respectfully,

Joanne Mallozzi,
Westborough
