WESTBOROUGH, Mass. — Reports of a cooking fire at the Extended Stay Deluxe at 1800 Computer Drive in Westborough drew multiple fire trucks just before 7 p.m. on Monday night.

Lt. Brian Roberts of the Westborough Fire Department said the person who reported the fire had a "language barrier" and reported a fire in the room, which prompted the heavy response. However, it was smoke from burnt food that caused the hotel's alarm to be sounded.

The alarm was turned off at 7:28 p.m. and those staying in the hotel were allowed to return to their rooms without delay.
