Westborough Police: Firefighters Guide Calls Are A Scam

WESTBOROUGH, Mass. — Westborough Police say an organization called Volunteer Firefighters Guide has recently begun soliciting donations from residents. 

The problem, according to Westborough Police: This organization has no affiliation with firefighters. 

"This is a private telemarketer that does not share their proceeds with firefighters," said Police Chief Alan Gordon in a news release. 

Anyone that has received a call from this telemarketer is asked to contact Westborough Police at (508) 366-3060.
