WESTBOROUGH, Mass. — A 64-year-old man was shot in the face with a pellet gun late Sunday as he walked to Sapporo Restaurant at 50 E. Main St. in Westborough.
The shooter, described as a slim male about 5-feet-10, approached the victim and said something inaudible before firing three shots with a pellet gun, police said.
The victim was struck twice in the face and once in the elbow. He was treated by paramedics at the scene, police said.
The suspect reportedly walked away in the direction of Willow Street. The area was searched by Westborough police and State Police K-9 units, but the shooter was not found.
The case is under investigation by Sgt. Glenn McLeod and Detective Steven Tompkins.
