WESTBOROUGH, Mass. — A Dover man has been charged with second degree murder as the search for the body of missing Westborough teen Lizzi Marriott continues in New Hampshire, the New Hampshire attorney general's office said.
In a 1 p.m. press conference, the New Hampshire attorney general's office announced Seth Mazzaglia, 29, of Dover, was arrested and charged with the death of Marriott, who has been missing since Tuesday. Marriott, a Westborough resident, is a student at the University of New Hampshire.
Published reports indicate that the two knew one another, and that Marriott's body has not yet been recovered. Police began searching the area of Peirce Island in Portsmouth Friday evening, and the search is ongoing.
Marriott disappeared Tuesday evening and her last known communication was a text message to a friend indicating that she was visiting a friend in Dover.
Police are asking anyone with information regarding Marriott's death to contact Dover police at (603) 742-4646 or the New Hampshire State Police at (603) 271-3636.
