WESTBOROUGH, Mass. — The Citizens for Limited Taxation political action committee announced its endorsement of candidate Marty Lamb, a Republican from Holliston, in the race for 8th Middlesex District representative against incumbent Carolyn Dykema, a Democrat from Holliston.
The support for Lamb is based on his stance on taxes, associate director Chip Faulkner said in a statement. Lamb signed a "no new taxes" pledge early in his campaign, stating that he would oppose any new taxes if elected. Dykema currently represents Precincts 2 and 3 in Southborough and Precinct 2 in Westborough.
"We are pleased to place our support behind Marty Lamb. He is the candidate who can be trusted to protect the taxpayers at the State House," Faulkner said in the statement.

Good to see Marty Lamb recognized by this organization. For sure, I know Ms. Dykema has voted to increase the sales tax 25%. She also voted to double tax alcohol. She voted against the meals tax holiday which would have helped the restaurant business.
The lines at the stores on the sales tax free weekend proves how unpopular this tax is. Dykema just keeps grabbing at our wallets.
And worst of all, she's been voting to raise taxes during a recession ! That just makes the economy worse with people already struggling, and hurts small business even more.
No wonder jobs are scarce, business leaves the state, and people leave as well. We already lost one congressional district.
We need a big turnaround on Beacon Hill and that starts with new legislators who have the ideas and solutions to help the economy. I've seen Lamb's economic revival plan posted in media outlets, and he's the only one with a plan and the only one thinking about how to fix this mess we are in.
Lamb is a small business owner himself and knows. He brings the knowledge, intelligence and experience on economic matters. He lives it every day. Something we really need brought to Beacon Hill, too.
