WESTBOROUGH, Mass. — The Westborough Public Schools will be closed Monday because of Hurricane Sandy.
The announcement was made Sunday afternoon.
The Westborough Public Library and town offices will also be closed, according to library director Maureen Ambrosino.
The decision on closings for Tuesday and cancelling Halloween plans have not yet been made.
Central Massachusetts can expect 2 to 5 inches of rain, the National Weather Service said. But there will be sustained winds of 20 to 40 mph with gusts of 50 to 60 mph for 12 to 18 hours.
