WESTBOROUGH, Mass. — Emily Mongeau, former all-state and MVP selection for Rangers soccer and a 2008 Westborough High School graduate, was selected as Northeast-10 defensive player of the week
Mongeau, a graduate student at Southern New Hampshire University, anchored a Penmen defense that posted two straight shutouts last week — both 1-0 victories, according to a university news release,
Mongeau has started all 10 games thus far for Southern New Hampshire, and anchors a defensive unit that has allowed just eight goals en route to a 6-3-1 start. She was named to the NSCAA All-East Second Team and the Capital One Academic All-Region Second Team in 2011.
