Ski-Masked LI Suspect Chased Down After NJ Car Theft: Cops
Three masked New York suspects, including one juvenile, were arrested after allegedly stealing a vehicle from a New Jersey driveway before leading officers on a foot chase through backyards early Sunday, July 26, authorities said. Mahwah police received a 911 call at approximately 1:30 a.m., from a resident on Oweno Road reporting a vehicle had just been stolen from the driveway, according to a press release from Capt. Nearly 80,000 Ford and Lincoln SUVs are being recalled because the driver's seat can unexpectedly recline, potentially trapping someone sitting behind it. Ford Motor Company issued the recall for 79,579 vehicles, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report filed on Tuesday, July 21.
