Man Dragged, Robbed Outside Elmont Deli During Brutal Attack: Police
A violent robbery outside a Long Island deli left a man beaten, dragged across concrete, and robbed of his cellphone, police announced on Tuesday, June 9.
Jason Gayle, 45, of Valley Stream, was arrested following the attack outside Elmont Deli and Convenience on Linden Boulevard in Elmont at approximately 8:01 p.m. on Monday, June 8, according to Nassau County detectives.
A 59-year-old man was standing in front of the store when Gayle allegedly began arguing with him before punching him in the face multiple times, knocking him to the ground, police said.
