The Department says a single-lane closure is scheduled for the Taconic State Parkway southbound between Exit 44 (Bulls Head Road) and Exit 43 (Route 82) in the Dutchess County towns of LaGrange, Pleasant Valley, Clinton and Stanford. The closure will begin Wednesday, Nov. 13 at 9 a.m. and continue through Monday, Dec. 16 while crews perform construction activities, weather permitting. Home Fire Displaces Four In Area Four people were left homeless after a fire ripped through their Union Vale home, making it unliveable.  The Union Vale Fire Department received notice of the fire at the home on Route 82 around 11:48 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 5, the department said. When firefighters arrived on the scene, they found a  fully involved structure fire in the attic area on the second floor of the home and a second alarm was dispatched.  All occupants made it safely out of the home once the fire began, the department said. NY State Trooper Saves Unresponsive Child At Area Grocery Store New York State Police are honoring one of their own for saving a small child who was not breathing. During the incident, which took place last week, Trooper David Sabillon of Troop K, responded to a Dutchess County supermarket in the town of LaGrange for a report of an unresponsive child.  At the scene, Sabillon began life-saving measures and the 1-year-old regained consciousness and started breathing normally, state police said. The fire started around 10:40 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 27, at 15 Skidmore Road, said LaGrange Fire Chief Barry Ward.
