Mass Company Issues Recall On 30K Blankets, Throws Over Burn, Fire Concerns
The Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a recall on nearly 30,000 Berkshire Blanket & Home Company heated throws and blankets over issues with overheating that pose fire or burn risks.
The Ware-based company's blankets were sold under its name and the L.L. Bean brand, where they are sold in stores. The CPSC said in its recall notice that they were also sold at Army and Air Force Exchange Service, Amazon.com, Target.com, Macys.com, and QVC.com.

Much-Loved Brewery Permanently Closes In Peekskill After One Last Event
A brewery in Northern Westchester that served as the site of countless beloved memories for visitors has closed for good.
Peekskill Brewery, located at 47 South Water St. in Peekskill, announced its permanent closure on Monday, Nov. 27 in a post on social media.
In their post, the owners did not give a reason for the closure but thanked those who came to the brewery's last "Kick the Keg" Happy Hour event held on Wednesday, Nov. 22.

Dave's Hot Chicken, the popular fast casual Nashville-style hot chicken restaurant, will be opening in Kearny Commons, owned by Urban Edge Properties, next year in a 2,316 square foot space, Urban Edge announced.
