To his family, Nicholas Franklin Njuki was a beloved son and brother. To others, he was Coach Nick.
The 33-year-old Gaithersburg man was shot and killed early Sunday, Sept. 13 following a confrontation that began inside Quincy’s on Seven Locks Road in Rockville, according to Montgomery County Police.
Now, as detectives search for his killer, Njuki’s family and friends are making sure he is remembered for everything that came before that night.

A young Maryland man's life was only beginning.
Dylan Edward Maxwell, 21, formerly of Perryville, died on Friday, Aug. 28, following a crash in Newark, Delaware, according to authorities.
Maxwell, who was born in Elkton and most recently lived in Newark, was a 2023 graduate of Perryville High School and Cecil County School of Technology.
Newark Police reported the crash at Elkton Road and Thorn Lane, which forced authorities to shut down the roadway.
