Minor Accused Of Forcible Rape In New York, Sheriff Says
A minor has been charged with rape following an investigation into a reported sexual assault in New York, authorities announced on Sunday, Sept. 13.
The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office received the complaint on Wednesday, Aug. 12, according to Sheriff Jeffrey R. Brown.
The sexual assault reportedly happened in the town of Clifton Park earlier that month, the sheriff’s office said.
Investigators arrested the minor on Wednesday, Sept. 9, and charged him with first-degree rape, a Class B felony, according to the release.

Jorge Isaias Saavedra Chasi, of Sag Harbor, was traveling westbound on Pantigo Road through East Hampton around 3:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, the East Hampton Town Police Department said.

A teen boy was rescued from an overturned boat in the Bering Sea after surviving for days without food or water while his brother and cousin died, officials said.
Derek Parker Aghnaanga was found sitting on top of a capsized skiff about four miles east of St. Lawrence Island, Alaska, on Monday, Sept. 7, the Coast Guard said in a news release. The 15-year-old had been fishing for halibut with his older brother and cousin when the small boat overturned.
